Communities seed banks
Community seed banks are essential repositories of diverse and locally adapted seeds. At EC-LLD, we recognize the vital role of community seed banks in the dynamic management of agricultural biodiversity and in safeguarding our food heritage. Our focus is on supporting community seed banks across Europe, empowering local communities to preserve and share traditional and locally adapted crop varieties. We foster collaboration and networking among community seed banks, facilitating the exchange of experiences, best practices, and seeds. Through our platform, community members can connect with one another, share knowledge, and strengthen their collective efforts in preserving and promoting agricultural biodiversity.
