We are happy to inform you that the results of the survey are online now. They are integrated in the report about the workshop on Community Seed Banks in September 2017 where many of participated.
You can download it HERE!
The report also includes all presentations given at the workshop and the SWOT analysis that we elaborated jointly during the workshop.
FYI, the report was recently distributed at FAO during the first day of the Informal Dialogue: Building Linkages to Strengthen On-Farm Management of Farmer’s Varieties/Landraces: Community Seed Banks”. This is the first day of the Ninth Session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Plant Genetic Resources (ITWG-PGR-9) 25 – 27 July 2018. We hope this will contribute to the further acknowledgement for the important role CSBs play for agricultural biodiversity and a more sustainable food system.
The report on the CSB workshop at FAO on 22 September has also been drafted and will be finalised by end of November in time for the DIVERSIFOOD congress that will held in Rennes, France, on 10-12 December 2018.
We are also glad to inform you that a new activity, the “CSB Academy”, has received funding so that it can start in the coming months. The CSB academy will aim at promoting trainings for CSBs and at supporting the exchange between CSBs in Europe. It will also seek to connect with CSBs worldwide. We are excited about this new possibility and will keep you informed!
