A new initiative was launched in the spring 2024 as part of the EU Farm to Fork Strategy and aligned to its target of achieving 25% organic farmland by 2030. The project aims to address the urgent need for skilled advisors in organic farming by creating and nurturing a network of organic advisors in the 27 EU Member States and 7 other European countries.
The project is funded by the European Commission and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.
A number of organisations are already involved
and a first meeting was held in June 2024. However, interested parties are encouraged to make contact with the project coordinators and participate in the next meeting that will be held on 25th September 2024.
Further useful information is available in the Organic Advice Network Press Release.
