Arche Noah, Kybele and Let’s Liberate Diversity! implemented SEEDING EU, to reinforce the capacity of associations and individuals working to conserve and increase seed diversity to understand and monitor the public policies that impact the conservation and use of seeds.

The LiveSeeding is a 4-year Innovation Action funded by the European Union through the Horizon programme.
The programme objective is to foster the growth of the organic sector and transition towards more sustainable local food systems by delivering high-quality organic seeds of diverse cultivars adjusted to organic farming for a wide range of crops.

Réseau Semences Paysannes has written to Members of the European Parliament to denounce the EU Council’s proposal to distinguish and deregulate certain plants derived from new genomic techniques (NGT). This proposal is a threat to environmental health and safety, as well as to farmers’ activities, and is in opposition to an agro-ecological transition to more sustainable food systems.

Representing LLD at the 16th ECPGR meeting in Malmö, Sweden: a report from Sesam
Dylan Wallman from Föreningen Sesam, swedish seed savers, participated at the the 16th ECPGR meeting. The meeting, organized in collaboration with NordGen, was held in Malmö, Sweden, gathering National Coordinators from 28 countries and observers from NordGen, the FAO Plant Treaty Secretariat and the European NGOs.

No Patents on Seeds! has started a petition calling for an international conference. The organisation is demanding that a ministerial conference of the contracting states of the EPO is held within one year, with the aim of taking effective measures to stop patents being granted on conventional plant and animal breeding.
