From 27-29 October 2022, the 11th Liberate Diversity Forum took place in Budapest, also to celebrate 10 years of activity of Maghaz, Hungarian members of the European Coordination. The programme included 12 workshops, from political-legislative to practical and concrete aspects for the use and conservation of agrobiodiversity, 2 international seed exchanges and 2 bread and beer tastings from local varieties. Save our seeds has set up a programme for young activists, educators, seed savers and various organisations on different seed issues. There will be one part more open to a general audience and a second part more detailed and with many lecturers from different realities.
The first edition of the forum took place in 2005 in Poitiers, France, and since then 10 editions have been organised in different European countries. The aim of these events has been to develop the issue of agricultural diversity by linking the work and experiences of the different actors involved, including public awareness, and promoting a horizontal and participatory dissemination of knowledge and expertise.
