9 concepts clés pour la diversité alimentaire

DIVERSIFOOD’s nine key concepts define a transdisciplinary, multi-actor approach to cultivated biodiversity, food quality, collective seed management and resilient local food systems.

Projet DIVERSIFOOD (Horizon 2020)

This publication presents the nine key concepts developed by the DIVERSIFOOD consortium to promote cultivated biodiversity and support local actor networks for high-quality local food systems. Developed within the EU H2020 DIVERSIFOOD project, the document defines shared meanings for terms across partners and outlines the project’s multi-actor, transdisciplinary approach. Topics covered include promoting diverse food systems from seed to plate, rediscovering under-used varieties, food quality assessment, adaptation and sustainability of crops in local contexts, food democracy, collective management of cultivated biodiversity, participatory research-action, transdisciplinarity, co-evolutionary processes, and system resilience. The text explains the project’s aims to develop locally adapted innovations, new biodiversity management models, selection approaches, and tools for research and communication, and notes the consortium’s partners and editorial coordination.
