Agroecology Coalition holds ‘deep dive’ session on seed systems
On March 19th, 2026, the Agroecology Coalition convened a deep dive session on “Seed Systems in the Agroecological Transition: Governance, Policy and Best Practices”, led by the Policies Working Group in collaboration with the Implementation Working Group. The session brought together Coalition members, practitioners, researchers, farmer organizations and civil society actors to examine the role of seed systems within
agroecological transitions and identify opportunities for collaboration.
The session aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of the critical role of seeds in agroecological transitions, identify actions that Coalition members can advance collectively on seed systems, and contribute to broader discussions linked to the International Year of the Woman Farmer
