François Meienberg is a seed policy specialist based in Switzerland. He works as Project Manager Seed Policy at ProSpecieRara and coordinates the Association for Plant Breeding for the Benefit of Society (APBREBES). His work focuses on agriculture, access and benefit-sharing, intellectual property rights, seed legislation and the public interest dimensions of plant breeding. He previously worked for the Berne Declaration/Public Eye, where he led campaigns and advocacy on agriculture, biodiversity and patents on life, and he has been active in the No Patents on Seeds network. François has also served in Swiss delegations to international policy processes, including the Convention on Biological Diversity and the FAO International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. He brings to ECLLD long-standing policy and advocacy experience on seeds, biodiversity and farmers’ rights.
