LAB 4: CAMPAIGNING FOR BIODIVERSITY: HOW TO ENGAGE CITIZENS

This online event is organised within the  SEEDING_EU Erasmus+ project 

In order to palliate the lack of knowledge and capacity of seed diversity actors in Europe to follow and engage in European policy-making processes and start cooperating with each other transnationally, virtual training with 4 LABS will be provided on the European legal landscape. 

(1) Introduction to European law-making and the role of institutions (decision-making processes, European institutions, composition and roles);

(2) Seed marketing legislation and its current reform (applicable legislation, general principles, derogations that address seed diversity, current reform process and policy options).

• > Engaging with the general public and citizens : Learn how to establish clear messaging and efficient tools to campaign for seed diversity.
• > The main “lecture” will be held on Wednesday, while Friday will be dedicated to more in-depth questions and explanations.
