Agroecological approaches in times of fertiliser crisis

The Mission of Switzerland to the European Union, SwissCore and the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) kindly invite you to a Swiss Science Briefing on ‘Agroecological approaches in times of fertiliser crisis – Evidence from Swiss-EU collaboration in the Global South’.

This Science Briefing aims to discuss how Swiss-European scientific research and development activities contribute to the resilient food systems in Africa, India, and Bolivia in the context of climate change and over-exploitation of planetary resources threatening the stability of the global food systems.

In the context of the 50th anniversary of FiBL, a differentiated approach to sustainable research for organic culture will be presented by Beate Huber, Director of Corporate Culture and Head of Department of International Cooperation at FiBL, followed by a speech of Prof. Johanna Jacobi at ETH Zurich. Afterwards, you can enjoy a panel discussion with members of the European Commission and other representatives.

More information can be found in the programme.

You are welcome to join us on 31 May 2023 from 16:45 (registration) at the Mission of Switzerland to the EU (Place du Luxembourg 1, 1050 Brussels). As from 19:10, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a networking apéro.

To confirm your participation, please register by 24 May at the latest.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Best regards,
Rahel Byland, S&T Counsellor (Mission of Switzerland to the EU)
