Véronique Chable

Véronique Chable is a senior researcher. She worked at INRAE, the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment. For more than 25 years, she has worked with organic farmers, French and European seed networks and seed associations on participatory and transdisciplinary research. Her work focuses on cultivated plant diversity, on-farm management of genetic resources and plant breeding strategies for organic and agroecological agriculture. She has supported or coordinated several collaborative European initiatives, including with ECLLD, to evaluate and enrich crop diversity in diverse agroecosystems. Véronique is also active in French seed associations, including Réseau Semences Paysannes and Kaol Kozh, where she contributes to farmers’ access to cultivated diversity and shared knowledge on peasant seeds.
