Farmer Rights to Seeds for food and livelihood security

Farmer Rights to Seeds for food and livelihood security: building more resilient agrifood systems

is an online workshop organised by FAO to raise the profile of farmers’ rights to seeds, demonstrating the food and livelihood security benefits these bring to communities, and their role in biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation and adaptation.

The two days’ programme is meant for a wide audience, including policymakers, legislators, and technical experts, farmers, researchers and civil society organisations. The first day will focus on the technical aspects and the international framework of farmers right to seed. The second day will focus on case studies, practical examples, and successful cases.
