Use of molecular markers in DUS studies

Held in English, the workshop is meant for stakeholders with a role in the variety registration process (ie examination office, associated competent authority) but does not require knowledge of molecular biology or DNA based molecular markers.

The workshop presents molecular markers (theory and practices) as a tool to help improve quality and efficiency in DUS testing and aims to answer the questions:

• How can the DUS system adapt to this increasing workload while keeping the same level of performance?
• How can we optimise our use of variety collections for planting DUS field trials?

Participants will be able to attend both lectures and hands on sessions in the laboratory.
