THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN !

Let’s Liberate Diversity!, LUGA, and SEED Luxembourg invite you to take part in a three-day Forum dedicated to meeting, exchanging, and learning together about food, crop diversity, seed policies, and dynamic seed management.

Join us, and take a look at the draft programme!

Seeds and other plant reproductive material are the foundation of all food production. As Europe charts the future of agriculture, two contrasting paths emerge:
  • One rooted in the diversity of traditional, regionally adapted varieties developed on farms and in gardens.
  • The other shaped by technological breeding and increasingly centralised, privatised seed systems.
The Let’s Liberate Diversity! Forum affirms that farmer-led plant breeding and variety development are irreplaceable. However advanced, no technology can replace the ongoing, locally embedded processes that sustain cultivated biodiversity.

This year’s Forum is structured around three core themes:

Food Sovereignty and Seed Autonomy – exploring how political and economic changes affect seed-saving practices, with a focus on policy advocacy and grassroots action.

Resilience in Times of Crisis – addressing strategies for adapting agricultural models to socio-economic and environmental disruptions, and strengthening local and regional food systems.

Building Alliances for a Sustainable Future – fostering collaboration between farmers, researchers, and policymakers to scale sustainable solutions and reinforce seed networks.

The Forum is a vital space for sharing knowledge on plant breeding, seed production, laws, property rights, and research and fostering actions to bring diversity back into our food systems.
