From October 3rd to 5th, Antibes (France) was home to the 13th Let’s Liberate Diversity! Forum, which took place during the International Gathering ‘Sow Your Resistance’. With 500 participants (!!!) from all over the world, this landmark event brought together diverse stakeholders dedicated to agrobiodiversity and seed systems, creating an invaluable space for knowledge sharing, network building, and collaborative action.
EC-LLD hosted several workshops as part of an extensive program, focusing on critical themes such as seed storage techniques, strengthening and exchanging knowledge between international farmer seed networks, collaboration with migrant communities, and, of course, the latest updates on seed law reform.
Also very important for the movement was the Let's Liberate Diversity! General Assembly that saw the ratification of the new Statute, the entry of seed savers / seed networks from the Czech Republic (Semínkovna) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Alica Foundation). The family expands to 23 members from 22 different countries! To conclude the day, there was a discussions concerning internal strategies and new project ideas.
Couldn't attend? No problem :-) a full report of the forum will be available soon. In the meantime, you can check out some of the workshops in English and French that were recorded.
