A Merry Christmas from ECLLD

As we near the close of another year, we at ECLLD wish to extend our warmest holiday greetings to all our members, partners, and supporters. This festive season is a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed hope for the year ahead.

2024 has been an important year for ECLLD. Together, we have advanced our shared mission of promoting seed diversity and supporting farmers' systems and community seed banks.

We have worked across several impactful projects, including the Horizon Europe LiveSeeding, DiverSeedPaths, an Erasmus+ initiative exploring the nexus between seeds and migration, and a project funded by the Salvia Foundation supporting us to foster an active European seed community.
We facilitated exchanges and knowledge sharing in European processes such as the Seed Law Marketing Reform and amplified the voices of our members in international forums like the FAO Commission for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.

We co-organized a successful 13th edition of the LLD Forum in Antibes, France. Hosted during the International Gathering "Sow Your Resistance," the event welcomed over 400 participants from across the globe and strengthened relationships with seed networks in other regions.
Our family grew with two new members: Foundation Alica from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Seminkovna from the Czech Republic. We anticipate further growth next year, with new membership requests already on the table.

Looking ahead, strengthening partnerships across Europe and beyond will be vital as we confront global challenges. Key upcoming events include a symposium on city food policy in Granollers at the end of April 2025, the 14th Edition of the LLD Forum in Luxembourg in September 2025, and more opportunities to continue building and strengthening our community.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our members and the support of individuals and organizations who champion our mission. Your commitment inspires us and drives our work forward.

From all of us at ECLLD, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a joyful, prosperous New Year. May this holiday season bring peace and inspiration for the work ahead.
