The LLD Forum is coming back!
For the 12th edition we will be Ireland from the 26th to the 28th of October. Citizens, farmers, technicians, seed savers, seed networks, researchers, policy makers, organic farming associations and NGOs will meet to encourage, develop and promote the dynamic management of cultivated biodiversity on farms and gardens, for the food security of the future.

Let's Liberate Diversity! General Assembly 2023
|
|
|
The EC-LLD on-line General Assembly took place on 5th May 2023. On the agenda was the approval of the 2022 annual report and budget. Good work to the new board as well!
|
|
Members also discussed the association's future strategies for cultivated biodiversity and the actions of the 3 different Working Groups. This issue is becoming increasingly urgent and collective involvement in the dynamic management of agrobiodiversity is essential.

LiveSeeding - Survey
|
LiveSeeding project is a a 4-year Horizon Europe Innovation Action that provides science-based evidence and best practice solutions to help achieve 100 % organic seed.
|
We are running a survey to detect technical, economic and regulatory challenges that organic seed producers face. The survey is intended for:
|
- organic seed producers/traders
- conventional seed producers/traders that plan to produce/trade organic seeds in the future
|

LiveSeeding - Stakeholder registration form

The LiveSeeding project is creating a database of stakeholders.
|

The members of the stakeholder group will receive the LiveSeeding newsletter, updates about the project and can be contacted for specific activities such as surveys or targeted workshops.

Pesticides are toxic and have multiple and complex impacts on the environment and our lives: these are analysed in some detail in the Pesticide Atlas 2022, a joint publication by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, Friends of the Earth Europe, Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz, and PAN Europe. Available in both English and German.

Radicchio: a success story of culinary breeding
|
|
|
The Culinary Breeding Network organizes activities to inspire connection and collaboration throughout the food system, in order to improve plant breeding for organic farming. Among these activities was a trip to Italy, visiting the places where radicchio - the most famous form of plant Chicorium intybus - originates from.

IPES-Food briefing on increasing concentration of corporate power in the food system
|
|
|
"Who is tipping the scale" is the lastes briefing note publicated by the International Panel of Expert on Sustainable Food System (IPES-Food). It investigates the growing influence of corporations on the governance of food systems, and presents options for how to counter it

Welcome to the team for Gabriele!!
|
|
Gabriele Maneo is an agronomist with more than 10 years of experience in developing managing and evaluating international development programmes in the field of rural development, nutrition and food systems.
|
Since April 2023 he collaborates with EC-LLD! supporting the Secretariat and managing the EU Horizon Europe funded project LIVESEEDING.
|
